Current Sponsor

Thank you for your support in building a city of PROMISE by investing in the life of a child of Camden through the Child Sponsorship Program.  Your sponsorship allows a child to participate in UrbanPromise’s year-round programming made up of five free AfterSchool Programs and six free Summer Camps. Your support provides a child with hope and equips them with the skills necessary for academic achievement, life management, moral development, and Christian leadership. It allows us to reach this child not only through our programs, but also outside of our programs through meaningful relationships.

Youth crime statistics reveal that the peak hours for violent juvenile crime and victimization are between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Since 1988 UrbanPromise has grown to reach over 500 children per year through the AfterSchool Programs and Summer Camps in an attempt to ensure that no child in our programs is a part of this alarming statistic.  Thank you for your support in helping UrbanPromise CHANGE THE ODDS for the children and youth of Camden, one child at a time. 


As a sponsor you:

  • Are assigned to a specific site and can see the difference you are making in a child’s life at your site.
  • Connect with our life-changing programs through the Child Sponsor website.
  • Learn about the kids, StreetLeaders, interns, and site directors at your site.
  • Receive personal blogs and updates from interns and site director at your site.
  • Learn about the circumstances and lives of the kids from your site.
  • View photos and videos of your sites AfterSchool Programs and Summer Camps.
  • Send personal notes and encouragement to the staff and kids are your site.
  • Receive special invites from your site to events and ministry opportunities.
  • Hear from the children at  your site through personal cards and updates.
  • Get the chance to interact and support the AfterSchool Programs and Summer Camps through various opportunities.
